Liquid E has appeared in the italian Vodafone's website. It would be interesting to know which version of the rom it using.

So we'll finally get optimized official 2.1 leak for devs? It means 1ghz and JIT support in close future? Great news :P

The page pointed to says the phone comes with "Android 2.0 (Donut)".

"Donut" is actually Android v1.6.

In every way, this looks like the existing Acer Liquid A1.

But the picture on the site clearly is a 2.1 launcher and looks like a standard 2.1 homescreen.

In every other way it's the same as the A1

I hope that is not true. While the bin is good, I do not think it is ready for sale.

Acer would lose alot of respect from consumers if they did that (though Acer's reputation was not great to begin with).

This new rom is better on my Liquid than stock ROM 2.0.0.16. No FCs, its stable and fast.

It is fast, and works well. Just a couple of kinks that need to be ironed out. That camcorder issue tho is somewhat big for somebody who is buying a brand new phone

The camera works correctly on original 0.14 leak. I wrote you in another thread.

Not as fast as HTC Legend with Sense slowing it down. 0.014 still leaves a lot to be desired for a final release ROM in my opinion.

Ugh, Sense isn't really that heavy and doesn't have many 3D effect nor LW and Legend have more RAM.

We can expect optimisations mostly to make it smooth even without taskiller (Current bin opens so much useless stuff, after killing apps the phone feels definitely faster) but we shouldn't expect anything spectacular.

Hope I'm wrong though :P .

If Liquid_User tells the truth, there should be a 0.016 rom. I really hope so ;-)
