Guest Rooksx Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) Hello, I'm having a problem with my recently purchased Kingston 16GB MicroSDHC card on my HTC Desire. I rooted my phone using the guide on this website, using the 4GB card that came with the phone as a goldcard. The rooting seemed to work fine, and I replaced the 4GB card with my new card. Placing the phone into Disk Drive mode and opening the card on my PC works fine at first. But when I transfer anything to the card and switch the phone to charge mode or unplug the USB cable, I get the "preparing SD card: checking for errors" or "blank SD card or unsupported file system" errors. If I try to download something through the phone e.g. a PDF on the internet, it does not work. I also tried using DoubleTwist to transfer files, but still no luck. I have formatted the card numerous times, using the phone's format, Windows full (not quick) format, and the Panasonic SD formatter program. I still have the same problem. I finally tried putting the 4GB goldcard back in, and this worked fine (though I thought that you couldn't use a goldcard for storage?). At this point I'm fairly sure that there's something wrong with my new SD card, but thought I'd check here that I'm not missing something before trying to return the card. Thanks in advance.
