Hi Guys! How to run a desire ROM on Emulator?

I owned a HTC Desire and Ive tried to custom the rom by myself.

However I dont know if the rom works or not.

Could anyone tell me how to run a desire ROM on google's emulator? Ive downloaded the android sdk.

I'd like to know this too. I got a very old version of Cmod running on there (based on Android 1.5), but I'd like to get something more modern up on it.
