Guest byakkotai Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 Hi, just a quick heads up if you are a UK user currently using a @googlemail.com account. If you switch to @gmail.com (which was possible from yesterday IIRC) then you will be unable to access emails/app market downloading and probably other stuff. The only way I know to rectify this is to restore your phone and enter the @gmail.com address at the set up stage. However, you can just NOT switch to @gmail.com.

Why do something so major like a restore? Just go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > "Clear data" > OK. Then Settings > Data Synchronization > Google I had to change my google account a few months ago so read this method from cheggerspop at androidforums and it worked.
Guest mobydeek Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 Can i just confirm that Clearing the Google App data will clear your Downloads list in the Market? Which leads on to: How do you manage your apps (updates n stuff) without the Downloads list?

Install aTrackDog to check for updates and when you have installed them again by the use of aTrackDog, your Download list will be recovered too. Then you could get rid of that program too.
