Alternate SMS apps

What do you guys think is best and why?

I downloaded Handcent SMS, and I think it's really nice, especially with the iPhone layout and all. Although is there any way to stop the texts coming up in my notification bar from both the normal messages and Handcent SMS? Also, when I try send a new text message through there, it doesn't have all my contacts on there, why is that?

u need to go into the settings of the stock Messages app and turn off notifications to get rid of of the double effect. No idea about the contact prob tho...

I think its a great app too and i also have the solutions for your problems :P

for the duplicate notifications you should disable them in the default app.

for the numbers not showing up you should check handcent settings, i think it just shows your mobile contacts.

As for this one, I only want my mobile contacts showing anyway. It only shows like 15 of them for some reason. :/

Have you checked that the missing contacts have a mobile number set as default in the contacts app?
