------Crying, cursing and sh**ting part -you can skip--------

I was really disappointed when I was unable to flash my device on 7 64 Bit that just came back from warranty beacuse of wrong flashing :P (I have to admit that it was woth it since they have replaced the mobo and the touch sensor of the device -for free)

I mean somehow, I flashed the device back in times but this time, I tried the hell but had no luck to flash it under 7 64 Bit.

I checked a lot of sites and guidess but all they talk about VMWare and XP bullshit which even grandma hates using and f*cking nearly 10 years old...

OK. Curse be upon XP users who make the developers think twice when programming future proof apps.

I have lil bit curse for Samsung too. Those bold motherf***ers rely on XDA or Modaco or other people on WM 6.5. Hey a**holes, they did not produce the i900, you did. And you are the one to support it. Got it?

Allrgiht, cursing part is over for now. Let's get back to businnes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Driver! Driver! Driver! I think you can not easily find the right x64 driver for Samsung Flashing Interface ! (The device that pops up for 3 seconds in device manager while the phone is booting : USB\VID_04E8&PID_6619&REV_0000 a.k.a. Samsung MITs USB Sync)

Don't worry. I crawled thorough drivers in Windows Update Catalog and snorted it form there for ya! Here it is: (The file is big cuz it contains Device Center | Untouched!)

http://hotfile.com/dl/41943962/ecbe821/AMD64.rar.html

Version: 6.1.6965.0

Date: 31.05.2007

2. You have downloaded the driver and extracted it. Now open Device Center. First, you have to be quick.!

-The phone is connected to PC via USB

-Turn the phone off

-Turn the Phone on and watch the device Center especially the place under the "Network adapter". A device will appear there: "Other Device" : i900...

-Double click on i900 immediately. This will open the device properties. Let the phone boot, even if the device disappears from Device Center, no problem, we got that son of a bitch in our hands!

3. Go to driver tab, select Update driver>Browse my comp. for driver software>let me pick from a list of driver...>Next> Have Disk> Browse> select wceusbsh.inf BUT! DON't click Next! Now:

-Turn the phone off

-turn the phone on and as soon as you hear the beep sound of USB , click next to install the driver!

-3 seconds will be enough if you do the steps properly!

The driver will be intslled but the phone keeps booting. No problem. The next step is known by every single user on this fourm I am sure:

4. Open up GrandPrix with Admin Rights and select the rom stuff. Click detect and then restart the phone.

Since we have the driver installed, it will detect and stop the boot process. AFter that you can start downloading/flashing perfectly.

P.S. Do not flash the "Phone" part with the PDA.bin as I did, or your phone will be an MP3 player but nothing more :P (The radio will get broken :D )

P.S. 2: I am a master in misflashing the phones. Once upon a time, I broke my iPaq and then World's first iPaQ recovery tut for Windows 7 came out...! That was a year before and I was using 7 beta those times. Good old last year times at the the university with ma best friends...

Of course it is. I have flashed my i900 with 23568 yesterday. It works both on 32 and 64 Bit. I will upload the 32 Bit driver too, just wait a lil bit.

That's great news for me. I almost got bricked my device, trying a flash in W7. I may give a try in this process.

Hey man this way is pretty old, but I have some modification:

First, on your step 2 it is not necessary to be in hurry.

You should Untick the "Allow USB Connections" under "Connection Settings" in Windows Mobile Device Center.

The last things that may cause some problems is you should Untick "Enable advanced network functionality"

at Phone\Settings\Connections\USB to PC in your device "Omnia"
