Guest magicpie1980 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 Guide To Wifi Tether;) Start wifi tether Connect the PC to the phone Set up a static IP address to the phone with the ip address of 192.168.2.100 a subnet mask 255.255.255.255 The Gateway of 192.168.2.254 The DNS of 192.168.2.254 Now it will still show a yellow exclimation mark sign over the network meter, but you will be able to tether This works;) MP;)

Guest mooves Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Is it just me or doesn't anyone use the Bluetooth connection in WiFi tether? Unlike my Magic when updating the services available from my Mac or PC it never shows Network Access Point so I can setup an PAN. Which worked flawlessly. I can send files to my desire so the connection is working. Any ideas? I've tried the latest version of wifi tether (2.02) on the Modaco r1 ROM. Edited May 11, 2010 by mooves
Guest MaTiCeK Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I set all the IPs, then pinged from the Desire to the connected device (iPhone in this case), but it didn't work. iPhone only said connecting when I opened Safari. What am I doing wrong?
