Hi,

I have a rooted Desire and I'm a newbie...

I saw that it's possible to configure Linux to use a proxy with the file /etc/sysctl.conf

Is it possible with the Desire to use this kind of settings? (as it is over a Linux)

When I'm using wifi, I have a proxy I would like to use (cache/protected internet access)...

Otherwise, is it possible to use my laptop connection instead of wifi/direct phone connection? (I only saw the other way: laptop using phone connection)

Cheers,

W.

Just search the market. There are a couple of apps which alllow you to configure a proxy.

There are plenty of anonymous proxy apps if that's what you're after :P

No, I want to use my own proxy with all internet connection... not only the browser.. on the market, I only saw apps to anonymize browser access...

I'll double-check.

Cheers,

Hi. I would love to know how to set proxy username and password for corporate WiFi. I hear that cyanogenmod 5.07 has it. Is it something that can be done?
