Guest jfran Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Hi I purchased the desire from 3 which fortunately was unlocked and seemingly with network modifications. Unrooted the device with an ordinary formatted FAT32 2GB card, however the memory on the device is only 40MB after installing Flashing a MCR and a few apps but choose against a2sd at present ... Android System Real Calc Bluetooth File Transfer Docs to go Es File Explorer Astro & Root Explorer SMS Backup Restore Skype Beta Quick Settings My question is should I have used a Goldcard instead, and would that have had any effect on the remaining memory? Thanks
Guest lanxton Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 My question is should I have used a Goldcard instead, and would that have had any effect on the remaining memory? Thanks The Goldcard has nothing to do with the disk usage. There could possibly be some cache files that are taking up some space. Does MCR r1 create any cache files that could be taking up space?
Guest jfran Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Did a Nand Backup of Google essential apps, Those files and the Dalvik Cache are the only cache files found. There is also a Lost+found and Recovery Folder, however those are empty Jim
Guest Orgasmatrond Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I think this is a general problem for everyone. I am now on the rootedupdate.zip and having the same problem. I tried MCR r1, and it had the same issue for me. And not only is it already low after flashing, but keeps dropping without me installing new apps or anything. :S

Guest Orgasmatrond Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I just did. Flashed r2 with a2sd+, and had around 135 mb free after restoring apps. Now, for some reason, it's down to around 90... found out that clearing dolpin hd cache gives around 7 mb back, but i still lost around 40 mb's and counting... i also rooted with r4.
