Ok im one inch from putting my Desire in the toilet

Hi

im getting crazy its been days im trying everything i can to just have 2 things : app2sd & wifi tethering

when i install the Custom rom here , and app2sd, it works...but i have "unable to start wifi"....tried everything

when i install the stock rom here and app2sd , the last one doesnt work...but wifi does

im really desperate right now

You have used an old a2sd version.

Which custom ROM did you use?

You have ran the dalvik-cache upgrade which stops wifi from working.

Just do a fresh install of a Rom here and dont update a2sd.

But i want ap2sd otherwise root is kinda useless imho !

ive been doing french install since 8am this morning. must be my tenth already

i just tried the rom here "STOCK" with r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-fresh-signed

not working

i then tried r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-upgrade-signed (1) with work with the custom rom, but still not working

im goin crazy

Use the money to get a Nokia and Jokuspot. That works ok. Or saying that my HD2 is tethering ok as well.

I feel your pain. I want WiFi tether on the desire for my iPad, but so far no go.

Why the rush?

A2SD - Would be nice but not absolutely essential. Memory is getting low on my Desire but I can easily run all I want which is a lot!

Tether - The USB wired tether works very well and keeps the Desire charged.

Just enjoy using the machine.

I'm sure these problems will be sorted in a few days.

Most works for me.

I see if i can get wireless router working.

When it works we try get yours working.

try this it is working with dalvik for me. and ofcause it's also working with wifi.

partition the sd card using:

swap 264 MB

ext2 partition 1024 MB

remaining FAT32

boot the phone it will take about 5 - 6 minutes for it to load, after it has loaded and you have logged on. turn off the phone at the setup screen.

I used the one with Move Dalvik-Cache on Boot.

I have tested this for 2 days now and it's working perfect.

Alltough i cannot garantee anything.
