Persian / Arabic support on HTC Desire

Hi,

For add Persian language to HTC Desire ; What should we do after Rooting HTC Desire ?

You can use the arabic rom based on the modaco r2 rom, and it seems to supports well both arabic/persian

but few apps are not working (2 or 3 of them) which are replaced by nexus counterpart

Arabic has been working great with me in 2.1 and very well in 2.2 (but with some small bugs). I can read and write in Arabic using Ardoid.

Know bugs in froyo:

Sometimes when you zoom in the browser, the letters appear reverse. Once you are done with the zoom , all is normal again

Some programs like google navigation still shows the arabic words in reverse.

Boot animation don't work with Ardoid for some reasons.

Hello guys, I am getting an HTC desire in the next 2 days isA and I'm really freaking out about the arabic support thing, I need some user experiences PLS, does http://ardoid.com/ work well with all the apps ? is there other solutions?

Note: All I need is to be able to read arabic SMS and websites, typing is not an important option.

Great! Can you post how you got it working on android 2.1 as this is what the zte blade / Orange San Francisco runs.
