Guest raerae28 Posted April 3, 2003 Report Posted April 3, 2003 Can someone please explain the architecture or logic of the Data Connections. I have questions regarding the information that my service provider is giving me to put in. I think i have found where it goes, but making slight changes to the settings yield different results. My main wants are.... GPRS WAP over GPRS MMS So far I can get GPRS to work I have not gotten WAP to work, even though I loaded WebWapSelect and tried all sorts of things MMS has gotten all kind of different results from quick failure, to sending , to finished sending and just sitting on the sending screen with 100% showing on the indicator. HELP!!!!!
Guest raerae28 Posted April 3, 2003 Report Posted April 3, 2003 Currently testing ATT Wireless in the states and pretty much what they give me as settings are as follows: What are the most important settings to establish a successful connection with the GPRS network? IP address: 010.250.250.250 Home page: http://home APN: Proxy Data mode: Connection oriented Security: Off Username and/or Password: Blank (erase all existing information in these fields) Some devices have a setting called WAP Port, if your phone does, you need to enter 9203 You can also verify the message center number on your SMS configuration settings, so you are able to send text messages, the number to be entered is: +19078319301 as well for P800 users the techs at AT-T wireless tell them this: to set up your p800 for AT&T mms do the following: control panel/connection/wap account/new. account name: mms internet account: mmode or gprs use proxy: check address: 010.250.250.100 port:9201 username: blank password: blank and click done. now you will have to do the following: control panel/connection/messaging accounts/mms. service center address: http://mmsc.mobile.attwirelss.net wap account : MMS automatic : on and click done, now you are ready to send mms. The above has been referenced on other websites as well, but I am having a hard time with where to place these settings to get it all to work right. R.W.
