Pulse Eclair ROM thread

Long story in short:

I got a copy of an Eclair update file for our Pulse.

I flashed it, but now I can't flash any other images to my Pulse, as the fastboot mode got screwed up.

I tried to root it any you can download the update.zip here.

DO A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING!

But beware, the update is too large to fit our Pulse.

If nobody else knows how to resign an update.zip and generate an update-script, I think so :P

If Paul's able to strip the image down to fit the Pulse, I think it should work :D

Well, at least for you guys, I don't know if i ever will be able to return to another ROM :P

Just imagine any new update that comes out does not list the ROM I have installed as upgradeable .... :D

Rather irritatingly, I cant sign the .zip! I'm using the Android-Sign APP from XDA, with the .jar in my root directory (Im on Mac - Hackintosh FTW!) and it throws up an error message, a big one ;

Java errors always look like that. Might be that you're using java 1.6 and it needs 1.5?

Make sure you have java installed and added to your PATH.

Yeah, but being on a Mac, the only Java updates are through Software Update, at least I think, and that says I'm up to date. (Mac OS X 10.5.8 (iDeneb))

It's too big for the current system partition.

The original update makes the system partition larger, so that the ROM fits in it.

Neither do I...

@bounty123 - The real update repartitions our device, making itself space. (*Sigh* Beaten to it by Bobo...)

Now that I think of it, the G1 gets SPL flashes for Cyanogen Mod to fit on, what about us? Not the same SPL but one for our phone?
