I alredy try everything from hard reset to new ROM but nothing helps. Does enyone has expirienced same problem and is there any solution? Is there maybe a way to reset camera? Thak you in advance! P.S. This is my first post in english so if i made some mistakes please forgive me :P
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 Nobody with this problem? Then something got realy wrong...
Guest darthveda Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 you can try to reinstall the camera? try using the camera cab file from daskalos rom
Guest Freezy1982 Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 1) Can you open the token picture with the standard picture viewer? 2) Was the picture saved in a "normal" format and have you installed an application to open the file with? 3) Is this error message only shown if you try to open your pictures with the camera app? 4) Which ROM do you use?
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 1. No, standard picture viewer doesen´t even see this pictures...When I try to open with PC it shows that the file is corrupted. 2. Yes, the picture is saved in normal .jpg format and I have this standard picture viewer instaled. Do I need something else? 3. I cannot open these files neither with picture viewer or trough file manager. 4. Curently I use original complete Samsung ROM: PDA: B7610NXXJC2, CSC: B7610NDBTIL4 PHONE: B7610XXJC1 , but I allredy tried 2 other ROM`s and same thing happend To darthveda: Tried that also...Didn`t help... ;) Weird thing is that video recording works fine and when I`m taking still picture I see it on preview, but problem is when I try to open it. It`s like the camera saves only the name of the file but without data... :)
Guest Freezy1982 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hmm wired... :) I'm sorry, but I have no standard solution for this ;) Perhaps (but you have testet it certainly) you can change your picture resolution? Or saving it to internal memory? If nothing helps... Try to call the Samsung Hotline - they helped me in some cases.. Perhaps your Hardware is broken (?) Or its another (simple) cause... ...
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 It`s hard to belive that this is hardware problem because videorecording works fine. Even taking picture in panorama mode works great...It has to be some minor bug... Anyway, thanks Freezy for help.
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 It works again!! :) ;) I was playing with self portrait mode and when I turned back to main camera it start to working normally...Strange! Anyway, i`m happy...Will see for how long it will be fine.
Guest Freezy1982 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Strange! But great :) If it wont be running in future, try switching once again. If its working then, it could be a nice solution for this issue ;)
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Well it didn`t last for long...Same thing again and this time don`t help switching between self portrait and normal mode... :)
Guest Freezy1982 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Well it didn`t last for long...Same thing again and this time don`t help switching between self portrait and normal mode... :) Could you give an explanation what you have done before the issue came back? Something special? Soft-Reset? Any Program launched?
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I have done soft reset to apply some settings but nothing that have to with camera...
Guest daskalos Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I have done soft reset to apply some settings but nothing that have to with camera... Do you have a third party media player installed?
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Since i`m a newbie in WM, i really dont know...What third party media player should be instaled? And if I dont have this media player, why can I normally see pictures taken with front camera, videos and pictures taken in panorama mode with main camera, but it wont open pictures taken in normal mode with main camera?

Can you try updating your camera firmware? disable sleep... dial *#2470# tap firmware update (if it says don't need FW update then don't) enter password 1234 then ok then wait for at least 10 Minutes, then soft reset... then check your camera again, see if there's any progress Edited May 20, 2010 by daskalos
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Tryed that also...It dont need FW update...I tryed almost everything i found on this forum...
Guest Marko-CRO Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Is it possible to owerwrite existing Camera FW with some other?
