Guest MadMatt2002 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Hi, Please can someone recommend a brand (and size) of micro sd card that they have successfully rooted a T-Mobile hero with? I tried all the SD's I have here without any luck. They all went through the procedure given at unlockr - after the gold card image has been added to the micro sd, the card says it needs reformatting! All my micro SD's are sandisk. Anyone recommend a brand? Or can anyone attempt to make a gold card for me? Many thanks Matthew
Guest klutsh Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Sounds like your editing the logical disc and not the physical disc.
Guest MadMatt2002 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Sounds like your editing the logical disc and not the physical disc. Thanks - well spotted! Now have a goldcard, but I get "Error [140] Bootloader Version Error" The ROM Update Utility cannot update your phone. Please get the correct ROM update utility and try again" Does this mean that the goldcard isn't correct, or the RUU is the wrong one? Thanks Matthew

USE the Physical Disc not the logical (I did this, bought a new card and tried for hours before I realised my mistake) The Unlockr guide is spot on
Guest PhilUK Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I did my own UK Tmob Hero at Christmas, but forgot what method I used to get the recovery image on. So when a friend wanted his done last week, it was like starting from fresh. I used the latest generic HTC rom to flash over Tmob using a gold card. then wrote the recovery using FlashRec. This also wiped the SPL and got rid of the G2 boot screen, so I did my phone again aswell. The main problem was getting FlashRec to do the recovery image in a rom. Phil.

All rooted now, just trying to decide which ROM I like best! Thanks again Matthew
