Guest CharlieCharlie24 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 What sort of speeds should I be getting when transferring files to my phone via USB? Before rooting and installing A2SD, I was getting about 8MB/second. Now after rooting, I'm getting about 1.8MB/second, which is a pain when you've got a 16GB card to fill up and often change videos. BTW. Love the work done on here, rooting couldn't have gone easier. :P

Also during the transfer the phone is super slow, like it has to use 100% cpu or something. Using Evil Barebone 1.0 rom (from xda-dev).
Guest zeezinj Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I am having the same issues. I had thought it went faster but it serena when I modded it did slow down .what's the deal here.is it the app or the mod or the phone ?
Guest spiry2sick Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I presume a2sd add a certain amount of overhead when accessing the card, remember that the system is "constantly" accessing the card while you copy your data. That's why having a class 6 or better card makes so much difference. I just got used to it. I guess you can't both have your cake and eat it ... This is something which is not likely to go away even with the official support. Either the manufacturers start to produce handsets with extra app storage or add an extra mini sd card slot (which would be superb)...
