HTC Desire Default Actions

I was wondering if there was a way to change a "Default Action" once you've ticked "Use by default for this action."

For example:

- I used to be able to choose different sounds when creating an alarm. I had the choice between default tones or I could choose an MP3

- I accidentally ticked always use by default, and now I never have a choice again.

I've nowlearnt, and since installing Custom Rom R2, when I push Home button and it has the choice between either HTC Sense or Launcher, I haven't ticked the box.

But is there a way to change these choices if the box has been ticked???

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Find the application that you selected as default and click it -> Click the "Clear Defaults" button. That will let you choose between all available apps for that action again.

Hi, resurrecting this thread as it asks what i wanted to know -

On my desire froyo 2.2 pretty much al apps have the 'clear defaults' option greyed out.

Is there a way to change that?

I have found an app called 'Clear Default' however it clears ALL defaults and apparently doesnt work with desire.

Surely it must be possible to alter a default app association?

Did you set any defaults? Because it's grayed out if the app doesn't have any defaults set.
