Just a quick one really...

32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2 Radio update in the topped thread, says Do not use if on Orange!

Now...

Is this just if your handset was originally from Orange? Or if you are on Orange full stop??

I bought my Desire unbranded & sim free, so just want to know if it only affects those handsets obtained through Orange, or just Orange sim cards in general?!

I think it's orange simcard case.

I did accidentally flash radio update on my debranded desire and got it locked. ;)

However re-rooting helped.

Flashed it anyways, can report it works fine for me, no sim-locking or problems or anything!

Where you say debranded, was it originally branded by Orange??

Mine was just a bare GSM handset, so not branded to begin with.

Mine was originally brandad by Orange but I debranded it flashing generic ROM.

Could be the reason why... Bit of digging it seems to show the issue only relates to handsets originally supplied by and locked to Orange themselves. Those which were plain GSM sim-free sets to begin with and being used with an Orange sim card seem to work fine!

Also, I had no issues updating the Radio on mine with me using Apps2SD, I read on a few some people complained of corruption to the A2SD bit when they updated...
