Hey is there an app to keep the flashlight on for a long period of time?

Also could I record a video at night with the flashlight on?

Yes, there are several programs. I remember one of them - it is called "mflash". I think you can find it here at modaco. It`s very easy to work with and small.

For the video recording - go into settings (the bottom left icon) after you have selected video from the upper left icon, then click the down arrow and you`ll se FLASH - it has 3 settings: ON, OFF and AUTO :)

Don't. Don't trying to use the flashlight more than 20''. A friend of mine almost bricked his device. There is (obviously) a reason, Samsung made the flashlight lasting only that long.

mmmm, I haven`t had any problems using the flash for more than 20 secs :) I don`t know how this will brick your phone ;) The worst thing that COULD happen is for the flash to stop working :D

a new myth? i use it a lot mostly on weekends during night fishing / night walking..

+1 never had any problem with it and never heard any related problem being reported.

Well, I read several threads about it, in the past.

Since I'm using the flashlight no more than 15'' (I have a flashtorch with powerfull light in my car), I don't using it.

ALSO..., I think there must be a "reason", Samsung set the flashlight in 20''.

But, by all means, do what you want.

hey man thanks for the caution I'll stick on the safe side and not use it over 5 minutes at a time (samsung put a 5 min cuttoff on the light option in settings)
