Guest mcwarre Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Pocket streets doesn't work on the SPV...
Guest RS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Multimap have a wap gateway at wap.multimap.com this may be of some use if you are a gprs user.
Guest dma Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Pocket streets doesn't work on the SPV... ... even though they have a picture of an SPV running it on their site !
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 It#s under development atm apparently....(still)
Guest Richie M Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Yeah it's been in development since December ;) I guess tho they were waiting for a GPS addon  we cant have evrything (yet) can we
Guest benzo Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 you can use web based www.streetmap.co.uk I've used it. It works fine on my spv, although scrolling across the generated map needs getting used to.
Guest lutzh Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 well, another workaround is msn maps (here's the link to the german page, but its available in any other bigger market in its own version: http://mappoint.msn.de/). you can create your route and then "save to pocket pc" (wich is doing nothing else then creating a mobile link but since the spv is not syncing these links automatically you have to copy it from the link-folder on your pc to the link-folder on your spv manually). when you follow these link on your spv its connecting you via gprs to the map and the route (you'll be charged for that connection, but when i've tested it it was small traffic only). you have the map and the routing points on your spv then - useful or not that question has to be answered by yourself... cheers, lutz here's the link to the us version which includes all available other countries in the pulldown: http://mappoint.msn.com
Guest Thurstan Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 www.streetmole.com - and it's SPV-sized too!
Guest zenabi Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Thanks Thurstan, it's not quite SPV sized, but unchecking the Fit To Screen option makes it more visible.
