Guest drwakey Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Well, i tried several Emulators and i must say i'm quite unsatisfied. I'm using the B7610 with Daskalos Megalite rom, ginkages fixed opengl drivers and spb Mobile Shell. FpseCE The only emulator which works fast and without any bigger glitches. For keyboard config read here (thx to talsi): http://www.modaco.com/content/b7610-omnia-...s-to-fpsece-10/ Morphgear Update: should work with this guide by daskalos: http://www.smartphonegurus.com/forums/inde...cer-tempo-m900/ Be sure to set Tactile Feedback and Polling Method for the keyboard to work. Smartgear According to talsi this multi-emulator should work fine (except genesis emulation). GBACE Starts, but i'm not able to load any roms. PocketAdvance Works, but has neither sound nor fullscreen support Pocket GBA Starts, but has a huge graphics glitch. Seems it doesnt support the high resolution. Unusable GBAdvance Beta Works with small graphic glitches in the menu. Doesnt support fullscreen, the screen is either too small or too big. Snes9xJ4uB1k Would work, but has some graphic glitches and doesnt support fullscreen on the B7610 ScummVM Works flawlessly, according to many members. VBAdvance CE - still to come DrPocketSnes - still to come PocketSnes - still to come PocketSnes Bleeding Edge - still to come Snesgo - still to come Does anyone maybe know more, better emulators?Snes9xJ4uB1k.ARM.cabGBAdvance_Beta.exe Edited May 17, 2010 by drwakey

You must exit it via the menu, as far as I can remember, there is a red button there. When tap it offers to exit the current game or morphgear itself
Guest drwakey Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) @daskalos: yeah, you're guide is great :) The only two things to mention are that i also had to set Tactile Feedback and Polling Method for the keyboard to work. Also the rawframebuffer method doesnt seem to work properly. This way its a bit slow with snes emulation, a bit strange i think, because even FpseCE works smooth. @watme: you need to press the key next to the alt key on keyboard (on my keyboard it's a half circle with an arrow). Then you come back to the main screen/menu. I also had the same problem ^^ Maybe we find other working emulators, or such guides. Or if we could find a coder, and recompile some emulators for our devices (sources are available). Edited May 15, 2010 by drwakey

I have tried your setting for the speed as the gba is running slow, still no help. what to do? Edited May 16, 2010 by watme
Guest me00016 Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 FpseCE - The only emulator which works fast and without any minor glitches. The only thing is that you cant configure keyboard settings, because the emulator automaticaly switches to widescreen as soon the keyboard is slided out. Slide the keyboard and while on landscape press the top-left corner of the screen. Orientation than changes to portrait and you can config your keybrd. Currently I am replaying Mechwarrior 2 at full framerate... Had not imagined that would be achievable those good x486 old days... SCUMMVM also works flawlessly.
Guest drwakey Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 Slide the keyboard and while on landscape press the top-left corner of the screen. Orientation than changes to portrait and you can config your keybrd. Hmmm... also read the same thing in the manual, but it didnt work. Maybe i'm doing something wrong?
Guest me00016 Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 Hmmm... also read the same thing in the manual, but it didnt work. Maybe i'm doing something wrong? It should work, it worked for me... Hit the corner with the stylus, it changes the orientation always, no mater if u are on portrait or landscape. Try top left corner while on portrait.Good luck
Guest Talsi Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 As for FPSECE any keyboard - this was already discussed here: http://www.modaco.com/content/b7610-omnia-...s-to-fpsece-10/ And as for other Emulators: Not mentioned Smartgear emulator (NES, Genesis, GameBoy, TG16) is working flawlessly (current beta), except for Genesis, which is, in some games, a bit laggy. SCUMMVM works flawlessly, seriously this emulator is awesome (tested and finished all Kyra games, DotT, Sam nad Max Hit the Road, Monkey Island, Freddi Fish (so far only episode 1) and currently I am playing Discworld!! SCUMMVM rocks!
Guest drwakey Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) k, added ^^ edit: btw, can someone make this thread sticky? Edited May 17, 2010 by drwakey
