Guest Epic-Emodude Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Hi, I have just tried the 2.1 r6 thing but found it to glitchy. I tried to roll back to 1.5 using my nandroid backup but it said error : run "nandroid-mobile.shrestore" via adb. I have no clue how to use ADB and i dont know why its not working. Can someone please help. (if I were to reingstall the recovery image will it work) Thanx Aaron
Guest Daniel Williamson Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Try plugging your USB into your computer when about to restore the backup :) Dan
Guest screwface Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Leave your phone charging for 30 minutes and try again.

Guest Epic-Emodude Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Thanx everyone. Unfortunately its still not working. I think i have two options now, 1. Install a ROM over the top and start from scratch. If so which is the best ROM to go for whilst waiting for 2.1 2. Reinstall the recovery image. Does anyone know if this will work and if so could someone give me directions on how to uninstall and reinstall it? Thanx Aaron Also, If I were to put the december update on the phone through recovery mode and then flash that in recovery mode would that work? Edited May 15, 2010 by Epic-Emodude

Guest ogiogi Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Also try while in recovery USB-MS Toggle enable than disable. Than nand restore.
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Just go to recovery mode holding END+Menu+Power on while device is off (assuming you've installed recovery mode) Do that instead of running recovery from fastboot, that I think you are doing.
Guest Epic-Emodude Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Also try while in recovery USB-MS Toggle enable than disable. Than nand restore. Still get the same error. Can i only use ADB when the phone is up and running? If so does that mean my only option is to install a new ROM? Also, is there a way in or out of a ROM to just completely wipe my phone to the state it was in when i got it? Thanx Aaron

Flashing the December update will do that i think. Than you can install Amon Ra recovery and do nand restore. :) Edited May 15, 2010 by ogiogi

That's seems like a corrupted image.

Thanx Aaron I don't think that'll work. Open december update zip and extract 'dload' folder to your sd card root. Then turn your phone on while holding END+Vol up. If update fails will be cause your device won't list as upgradeable. So we'll have to try another approach Edited May 15, 2010 by MarcusHenrique
