Guest gr0gmint Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) Hi! I followed the steps with success, all the way to the part where the recovery application starts one the phone. The recovery program seems to work, as it starts. But i can't navigate ! I've tried with both VOL-UP and VOL-DOWN key, and the trackball. The program only responds to me pressing the trackball, which makes the device reboot (as that is the highlighted choice). If this issue cannot be resolved, is there a way to manually apply 'rootedupdate.zip' ? Thanks in advance :) Edited May 16, 2010 by gr0gmint

Did you try to remove the battery and go into recovery again to see if using the trackball you can navigate?

But if that does not work, is there an alternative way of installing rootedupdate.zip in the shell perhaps?
Guest xhemp Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 I will try that. But if that does not work, is there an alternative way of installing rootedupdate.zip in the shell perhaps? That's weird, it should work. I'm not aware of another way to install the rootedupdate.zip. Let us know if it works :)

But there's still the red triangle. Is this normal? And im convinced there is an alternative way to install it. All the recovery app does, is to call a lot of other scripts.. Im just too noobish to find out what exactly :( Edited May 16, 2010 by gr0gmint
