a guy on our German Forum has found the best, smoothst and fastest Launcher! Check this out:

I've tested it under 1.100.05 and it works so great! Please consider it's just still a Beta Version! After installation from the market, you should restart your Phone and enjoy!

The homescreen switching looks really smooth, but although it may seem like a small thing, I got addicted to the small bump when you reach the end the appdrawer ;).

I'm definitely going to follow the app, it's definitely going in the right direction.

EDIT: And I noticed you have to press the back button to go back to the home screen, I'd rather have an on-screen button :)

I was having problems with both Helix 1 and 2 in conjunction with Beautiful Widgets. Hopefully this works well with that.

Has anybody tried it out yet? How does it affect your available memory compared to Helix?

I like it. I went from 80 megs of available ram to 90 megs after install (I have a live wallpaper, bunch of widgets)

Playing around with it for a while:

-No interaction with live wallpapers (they work but touch effects dont work)

-No landscape mode

On the good news, the developers blog ( http://www.launcherpro.com/?p=8#comments ) is saying that there will be an update soon to fix the live wallpaper bug and fixed some other bug where widgets were not updating after change in # of homecreens

Sorry to hijack this thread but the dev just put a new update in the market.

Now when you pinch the screen in, the screen changer appears.

Also live wallpapers work.

i sometimes reach a peak of 104 mb of free memori on taskiller hohoho but the lagginess that affects al of the roms for our liquid when swiping from screen to screen affects this homescreen too it's an acer issue tough i think,

Wow, this is great, love it. So SO smooth. I think he's changed the value for min-lines scroll so scrolling is super smooth like the iPhone.
