Guest legendn00b Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) Hi guys, I've had my HTC Legend for a while, wanted to root my device, im trying to create a gold card, and im having so many issues... I have tried a couple of ways, one on the MicroSD card & hard drive... both had the same issue... I typed into CMD; C: AndroidSDK\tools> adb devices List of devices attached (serial number) device C: AndroidSDK\tools> adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc1/mmc1:*/cid and then i either get permition denied or i get "adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc1/mmc1:*/cid" not found.... when i do it adb shell cat \sys\class\mmc_host\mmc1\mmc1:*\cid i get a permision error. what on earth should i do? Thanks, if anyone helps! Edited May 17, 2010 by legendn00b
Guest craigcrawford1988 Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc1/mmc1:*/cid They can't be on the same line, so type one - then the other. Also, I think the phone has to be in bootloader mode or you will get permission denied. Edited May 21, 2010 by craigcrawford1988
