************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

im having problems too, i can get the cid, and select the mmc, but get errors when i click patch, done everything properly, just doesnt work, doesnt work either if i try to create a goldcard manually, tried different sd cards, still the same, is it possibly because im using a sony vaio laptop with a built in card reader, so the phone sd comes up as a logical disk and not a removable one?

The error i get with goldcard tool is when i click patch mmc;

An error occured Object reference not set to and instance of a object.

[/qu

i'm also getting the error message, please coud someone explain what caused this and how to resolve it. Thanks in advance, i'm a newbie.

i tried your steps again but still objects no reference....... Curiously, when i used the device manager checking drivers on my HTC desire, it says drivers installed by HTC and the version number of it. The question i want to ask is if the HTC drivers and adb drivers are the same or not.

Thanks a lot mate. It worked without a hitch on my HTC Desire.

Just one thing. The tool gives output like

----------------------

CID: xxxxxxxxxxx

reversing CID:

CID: yyyyyyyyyyy

It might be better to differentiate between the two or explain in the instructions which CID is the valid one.

Thanks again.

Any should work.

Your only patching Sector 0 of the microSD, no actual files go on the card.

Is there any way to get a CID without adb? I ask because I have softbricked my Desire. Now only fastboot works. Adb does not return device

GoldCard Tool v0.0.5

Requirements:

  • Latest HTC Sync software installed (www.htc.com)
  • Spare microSD card
  • Windows PC (Tested on Windows7 x64,Vista x86)
  • .Net Framework 2.0

    • Format the microSD card to FAT32 format.
    • Put the microSD card in your device and boot it.
    • Launch GoldCard Tool (Right Click and run as Admin if needed)
    • Connect Android device to USB (USB Debugging must be enabled on the device)
    • Click 'Get CID' (If MMC1 fails try MMC0)
    • Click the link to open revskills.de, enter the CID number from Goldcard Tool and create your goldcard image, which will be e-mailed to you.
    • Enable USB Mass Storage on the device.
    • Click 'Refresh' and select your microSD card in the drop down menu.
    • Click 'Load GoldCard.img' and open the .img file you got by email.
    • Click 'Patch MMC'

    You now have a goldcard!

    [Notes]

    HTC Sync is required for drivers only

    Android SDK is not required

    After a couple of requests I have decided to release the source code.

    All works fine till the downgrading part. I cant down grade i have a goldcard created. Any help please.
