How do I use BetterCut?

Okay, so at first, I didn't think BetterCut worked because I had no icons on my home. But that's not it. So I downloaded an icon pack or two, because I thought that could be the problem, but no. I've gone into BetterCut and clicked Edit Shortcut, but nothing appears on the screen.

Can someone tell me what to do please? :)

i use bettercut but im not sure what u mean, if the shortcut to the app isnt on the list, ull have to go through create a shortcut>to a new activity or sumthing along those lines, then choose an icon from a downloaded icon pack>create. then it should appear on the homescreen u wer last on, or itll place it onto another if u dont have any room.
