HTC Just released the Source code for the 2.1 kernels of the Desire, Incredible, Legend, and Eris.

You can pick them up at http://developer.htc.com

I'd love to see what the MoDaCo Community can do with it :)

Oh, wonderful. Thanks, HTC Twitter feed for making me look like a bleeping idiot, they only posted it publically 12 hours ago! *applauds carcastically*

Sorry, guys.

If I'm not mistaken, Paul tweeted that he is going to work of a safer way to root Desire following the release of the kernel. Anyone here know what is the progress?

You don't learn do you!! LOL!!!

It's nothing to install, it for developers to work with to help push Android forwards!! If you MUST flash something else (and no doubt get it wrong) then get Paul's custom kernel...

I'd just stop flashing anything at all if I were him. I'd maybe start READING everything I could find, and then READING it all again.

After READING everything, he may actually learn to flash "Desire" builds to his HTC "Desire" instead of Nexus One builds.

But that's just me.

:D

The 'LOL' at the end of mine was a dig, nothing personal...

Just don't respond to anything with 'how can I flash it?' if you don't know what it does. This is for developers, something I assume you are not...

Stick to enjoying the Desire and get to learn it before flashing everything under the sun. Seriously.
