Guest stevenz Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Go and get it folks, or better yet, wait for someone to release a rooted version so you don't unroot your phone (possibly permanently). http://support.sprint.com/support/article/...20091009-155624
Guest jay8ee Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Sprint version is ugly! http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/19/sprints...id-2-1-upgrade/ Yea I heard Paul say something ages ago about the official 2.1 stopping all flashing techniques that we all use, so be careful if you do upgrade.

Ok, so where the hell is the GSM version!?!?! this is crazy!!!
Guest dipje Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Ok, so where the hell is the GSM version!?!?! this is crazy!!! As was stated a few days ago, they are all still in the Google approval process according to HTC. The Sprint Hero (and the Droid Eris if you count it) are only a single SKU for a single country, so only one approval. There is a different SKU for every EU country the Hero is sold in, and then there are different colours and even an operator specific version here and there... ... all have to be approved and tested individually.

Droid Eris port works just fine on UK GSM Hero
Guest dipje Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Droid Eris port works just fine on UK GSM Hero Where did I ever say it wouldn't? And more importantly, what does a custom ROM droid-eris-port have to do with the official release? Specially if I was talking about SKU's and Google approval testing?!?
