com.android.vending corrupted

I rebooted my phone and now the Market stopped working. Instead of 'Market' the application is now named 'com.android.vending' and when i try to start it HTC sense closes and restarts.

I tried wiping all the cache I could find (app2sd+) and updating my phone with the r3 ROM from the kitchen, but no go.

Is there any sure fire way to make the phone install the market app again ?

And possibly a way to make it stop corrupting the market app when I turn the phone off.

Looks like you've a SD card issue. Try to replace it with another one.

The one i have is a 16GB sandisk one. the ext 3 volume on it is 1.5Gb (i think). Any suggestions for a brand ?

And any suggestions on how to get the market working again w/o wiping the sd ? I dont really feel like installing all the apps again.
