Can anyone point me to a detailed step by step guide in updating my stock android 1.6 acer liquid to the custom android 2.1 roms here?

im still awaiting the official 2.1 upgrade here in singapore and im too scared to flash the unofficial ones.

Get the official Acer Flash Tool (Version 3.1 can flash the EMEA region rom over AAP). Download the LiquidE_1.100.05_EMEA ROM and select it from the Acer Flash Tool. You can stop here if you just want to run the 2.1 Acer LiquidE ROM.

If you want root access and backup in recovery mode, then follow Malez Recovery installation instructions. Or just stop there. And if you want to install the cooked roms from here like LCR, use malezrecovery to flash that on top.
