One way to force 3G only in Eclair

As we known there's no "3G only" option in system preferences while u update to Eclair. Now we have the option.

open the dial panel and type *#*#4636#*#* to enter Testing preference, select" Phone Info" u can see the "WCDMA only" option. Enjoy it ! :)

You can also download ANYCUT, Launch it, NEW SHORCUT - ACTIVITY - PHONE INFO and now you have a shortcut on desktop with phone info :) WCDMA ONLY et voilĂ  ;)

What would happen if 3G is not strong in the area you are at? (like my house, tho im on WiFi in my house, or the library)

Found out the hard way. If 3G is not strong, u get NO SIGNAL.

And 3G is not strong in my house (badword AT&T) :(

Looks like to avoid random freezing, I gotta set it to 2G only. And change it when I leave my house. And hope it does not freeze up after I change it.
