For some reaosn, when I selecte the option to mount via USB, I'm getting a pop up on my screen asking me if I want to Scan and Fix Removable Disk (F): I can either scan or continue and access the sdcard. The problem happens when I try to unmount the USB. It causes my computer to freeze and even if I try to close it out thru the Task Manager, it won't close. It fact, it caused my computer to freeze up. Has anyone run into this problem?

Hi

It happend often to me as well. (I use win7 64BIT). If I choose not to do a scan everything is working fine. If I choose to scan the connection will go broken and I will have to do a "MountUSB" again. My win7 do not freeze as yours however.

It seems to me that a solution to this problem is to put your SDCARD into a cardreader and actually do a scan when prompted. That fixed the problem for me and it have worked well now for the last weeks. But just to be on the safe side do a complete backup of your card first!

Or, if you have custom recovery, you can mount you sd from it and do same thing

before the fix, i was still able to access the content from my sd card by using the mount usb widget as well as thru recovery. it was just an annoyance when i mounted the phone and the windows error message would come up for both that i needed to scan for errors on the card and when i ran it, nothing would happen.

I mean you can scan for error without android-auto-unmounting-SD-and-you-can't-finish-scan (this happens to me if I mount card from android) from recovery. No need a cardreader for this.
