Guest fudgeboy Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Anyone else having trouble with the Desire touchscreen whilst charging? I have four methods of charging: (1) USB via computer (2) Car charger to mini-USB, plus mini-USB to micro-USB (3) UK 3-pin plug to female USB connector, plus USB cable (4) UK 3-pin plug with captive micro-USB cable The first three are fine. But when I use the standalone micro-USB charger, the touchscreen is very unresponsive. I don't know whether I'm killing my phone in the process--it seems like the sort of thing that could happen if the voltage is too high. James

When putting it on mains charge I had to restart the phone for it to respond correctly, otherwise it was completely unusable from my bed. The same thing only ever happened once with a PC-USB connection. Rest of the time connecting to a PC was fine.
Guest i6bazar Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Same here with my HTC Desire only when using a standalone charger. When plugged with the same USB cable to a computer, touchscreen is OK. I'm running 1.21.405 + root + uvoc v11 kernel I wonder if it could be caused by the uvoc v11 kernel ?
Guest LeszekSwirski Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 A friend of mine had touchscreen trouble when using a cheap usb cable. Maybe it's that?
