how can i find out if my desire is generic or not. It came from carphone warehouse as an upgrade as part of a contract but there is no branding on it.

please help as creating a gold card is not working for me, i get "error:device not found" at adb shell....... bit so id like to skip it lol

Have you installed HTCsync ? (last version is ???.34 i think)

ye i have ht sync installed. i have rooted it now turns out i didnt need a goldcard after all
