3G network

heya.

recently i went on a oversea trip and when i return back, i noticed my 3G network was on for the whole trip.

I would like to ask would i be charged just by connecting to it? i did not use it.

is there a way to check if any data has been sent or received?

btw i do not have a data plan. so im worried that i be charged.

If you were just on the 3G network, I dont think you will be charged. But ya, If the data connection was active then you will be charged. How much, will depend on your plan. If you have a data transfer based plan, then you will be only charged for transferred data. If you have a time based plan, you are in for more trouble :| sorry. I cant say anything exact because I am from India, I don't know what data plans you guys have over there.

im not on any data plan.. so i think it will be use per basis charging... oh man..

i dont see about H maybe an HSDPA signal that connect, coz on my B7610 when its in HighSpeed it shows 3G+ both the 3g icon and small 3g icon

it depends on your network provider..

here in our country, there are two type of data connection

1. TIME browsing

2. per kb browsing

1.a. when im on time browsing if it is connected it will b charge 5php per 15minutes and if i assume i was connected the whole day, the whole day time will be charge without using it if im connected to data

2.b. when im on per kb browsing if it is connected it will b charge 0.15php/kb and if i assume i was connected the whole day, it will be depends on how many kb ive used even if im afk, if im afk without browsing i guess there will b no charge to me

and it will b lesser or if somehow i have my email autoupdate for a few hour but it will b small coz i configure it and set it to 2kb HTML setting.. and other apps that are auto like: MS Myphone or Weather..

thanks alot. i think my country runs on per kb browsing. all our plan is for gb usage.
