Guest andypotts Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I've been searching through the forums to no avail.... I've managed to root my desire, and get R3 MCR on... when making my choices in the online kitchen I have tried both A2SD and A2SD+ I have formatted my card using GPART live CD but am confused as to what partitions I should actually have. I have tried doing as per the kitchen note, FAT32 first the EXT3... on an 8gb card using 512 for ext3 and remainder for FAT32.... As soon as I let the phone see the SD card again it says faulty. Can someone help please.
Guest EddyOS Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) Have you done the card using the Recovery screen? Worked fine that way for me: 0MB SWAP, 1GB EXT3, rest FAT32 (using 16GB card) Edited May 20, 2010 by EddyOS
Guest andypotts Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 I did but the guide said to use a swap partition... will give it a go now! Thanks
Guest andypotts Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Rght.... am i right in saying when I now install apps they phone or SD storage will not go up????
Guest EddyOS Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 if you get 'quick system info' from the market it'll show you A2SD memory so you'll know if its installed
Guest andypotts Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Thanks!!!! It does appear to be working as it should. Now to patch a few more things!
