Guest kristijan_mk Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 first of all, excellent job everybody involved in releasing 2.1. It's a huge job you've done  back to my problem. Since this morning my Pulse is in endless boot (T-Mobile logo, Android logo, T-Mobile logo, T-Mobile logo, T-Mobile logo... you get the picture) I was using the original (without December update) T-Mobile ROM. This problem enticed me to install 2.1. (when i'm already going to wipe...) but from what i've seen i first have to install the december update, and i can't do that (as described) since i can't get to settings. My theory is that i have to install the september ROM first, and than follow the steps till 2.1 So my questions are -is there any other way to do this? -if not, can somebody point me where i can find the september T-Mobile ROM? (i searched the forum in the last 1 hour and i couldn't find it)

Guest thehobnob Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) The November Pulse software is available here: http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-sup...FTWAREDOWNLOADS (2nd item on the page) Copy the dload folder to the root of your SD card, then power on the phone holding the end call and volume up buttons. You can use the december update like that too, same steps just different download link. You could also just flash mcr via recovery.

Guest mattheo Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 I have the same problem, my phone is an endless booting, I have the 1.7 Vanilla on it, but error messages are coming for flashing zip from sd, and for the "dload style" update as well.. for the 2.1 update while recovery: E: corrupt file: system/usr/srec/config/en.us/models/generic8_m.swimd1 for 1.7 Vanilla while recovery: E: corrupt file: system/app/gmail.apk and for nand backup, it writes something like this: error, please run adb nand-shrestore the dload updates stops after 2 "pink lines", in the step one, while unpacking, "update failed" message on screen, the boot stops, and the buttons are flashing. any usable ideas?
