Handcent query please

Hi all

I have just changed from using sms popup to handcent after reading peoples reviews etc. Pleasedwith Handcent in many ways but one thing I miss with sms popup is the sms pop message as it had a larger photo of contact so looked nicer, and when clicking quick reply the keyboard didn't cover up some of the pop message as Handcent does.

Is there any tweaking of Handcent that can be done to change this?

hmm no i dont think so.

ive never used sms popup, i used the original messaging app that came with 1.7 MCR, and now i use handcent, its perfect for me:)

agreed that the pic is a little too small, but hey thats life, we cant have everything :rolleyes:

One thing to be wary of with the Handcent popup is I found it doesn't seem to let the phone sleep and drinks battery for some reason.

I use SMS popup. It's the best sms app in my opinion. Tried Handcent and didn't like it very much. U can try using both maybe :rolleyes:

Thanks for the replies....I have now found the solution which works great!

I have Handcent installed but have disabled pop up. I use SMS Pop up app for that part which means nice big pic of contact etc but all the other Handcent functionality.
