So it asks for a pin but you don't have one?

Maybe this is related.

<!-- Flag indicating whether the Phone app should ignore

EVENT_SIM_NETWORK_LOCKED events from the Sim. If true, this will

prevent the IccNetworkDepersonalizationPanel from being shown,

and effectively disable the "Sim network lock" feature. -->

	<bool name="ignore_sim_network_locked_events">false</bool>

Thats the one

Working:

Vibrate

2G Network

3G Network (i switched the 3g on: network OK, calls OK)

USB

Apps

Brightness

Widgets

Browser

SD Card

Audio (Call, Mic, Sound, everything)

GPS

Broken:

Rotate / Gyroscope (???)

Camera (on XDA-dev, every 2.2 ported rom have the black/white error, but later all fixed somehow)

LEDs (i think its not important)

Wi-Fi (its really close to fix)

Live Wallpaper (i think its easy to fix it)

55.63 MB free internal storage available!

Ram Usage:

Avail : 24MB+0.00B in 9

Other: 21MB in 3

(We have more free ram compared to 0.20 Alpha)

Audio is fully working (ringtones, mp3 files, audio feedback, microphone, front and back speaker)

Overall performance and stability is much better.

I installed LaucherPro and its very very fast and stable (in 2.1 i have random force close while use the LaucherPro widgets)

I can receive calls and its VERY FAST! (in 2.1 its hanging a little bit)

I can call and the other receive it!

SMS works like charm! No more sms-issue (we have dafault more available free ram)

SuperUser-Permission and GoogleApps flashed via recovery. RootExploer installed via ADB.

Does this add multitouch support?

I'll certainly flash this when it gets Wi-Fi support!

It doesnt add multi-touch support.

To do this we will need the kernel source which we dont have for 2.1 yet.

Big Bear has already tried to do it but said that the firmware doesnt support it so it cant be done.

The good:

- Sound quality is good and looooud

The bad:

- Data only sort of works, it connects to network then drops data connection

Edit: it drops when it wants to access data.

It probably needs a data connection

you mean the GPS? Because i have used Navdroyd (offline navigation) with no data connection whatsoever

I think he means data is required cause these are a-GPS chips, assisted gps chips get some data sent to them to find their position through data received through the network and a genuine gps...

these are not a-GPS chips although they can use network assist while finding position, i have used the inbuilt GPS without any data connection (checked off in settings if that means no kind of packet flow) and it worked normally.

Doesn't huawei HAVE to release the source in order to comply to the GPL? What they are doing is illegal, right (Not releasing the 2.1 source)?

Camera (on XDA-dev, every 2.2 ported rom have the black/white error, but later all fixed somehow)

The checker board camera thing isn't really an error, its because I've configured it that way. The build fails without a camera driver, so I'm building it with the stub driver from the emulator. I will look at adding a real driver later.

The bad:

Data doesn't even sort of work, it is totally broken. The basics are there, as you can manually configure a connection from the shell, but the android environment won't recognise it.

As far as I know GPS doesn't work.

Is there any flashable ROM that I can use to try this pre-alpha Froyo dev on my Pulse?

I also would like to give it a go in my U8230.

Can you please make a flashable ROM and if you don't want to post it here send me the link trough PM?

Thanks

Just flash the images with fastboot. If you can't figure out how to use fastboot (instructions have been posted many times) then I don't recommend using this rom.

download recovery, choose install-recovery-windows.bat - right click/edit:

erase all and paste it:

fastboot-windows.exe flash boot boot.img

fastboot-windows.exe flash system system.img

fastboot-windows.exe flash userdata userdata.img

fastboot-windows.exe reboot

save& close this file.

download this archive and copy all .img files into recovery folder.

Reboot the phone pressing "volume-down"+"red-key" so it enters bootloader mode.

run install-recovery-windows.bat and wait for rebooting your phone.

DONE.
