URGENT HELP NEED PLEASE!

please if someone can help me it would be much appreciated

my htc desire is stuck on boot screen after step 1 of rooting the phone

i can still access the FASTBOOT menu

phone is TELSTRA 1.16xxxx

EDIT: I used the R4 method... im not sure if this is a brick or not, i just cant boot the OS
