Syncing 2.1 With Facebook

Has anyone managed to sync 2.1 with Facebook? Everytime I try to my Pulse basically just does nothing...

Okay, so I just changed all the name fields to Desire and the manufacturer name to HTC, and it still won't work...

I have this, though you might have to change U8220 to 'sapphire' as well, but be sure to change it back as it causes force closes.

You need to use an older version of the facebook app too, uninstall the one from the market and install this one:

Then add your facebook account to Accounts & Sync section of the phones settings menu.

Managed to get the syncing working on the Vanilla 2.1 Rom, not sure if it'll work on the T-mobile branded version.

thankeeyoup! That worked, but facebook decided to create about 4 of each contact, so I uninstalled it to avoid having to delete about 2000 duplicates...
