B7610 Sense 2.5 ROM bugs and fixes

Though HTC Sense 2.5 is working with i8000 and B7610, it is far from perfect, so don't expect it to be bug free, though this version by Rapid81 and Noobody fast enough for daily use.

SENSE 2.5 and B7610

So far, these are some bugs with HTC Sense in B7610 (it may be or not exclusive to B7610 only)

1. When entering text in text boxes (for example entering your location in weather) background graphics of that area may be squeezed horizontally when keyboard is active. This however is not a lethal bug. Don't know how to fix this so in the meantime, bear with it :rolleyes:

2. Documents Tab doesn't show documents. Well you can make for example pdf b shown on Documents tab by first selecting Documents Tap, then opening your file browser, search for the pdf file and relocating it somewhere. After that, pdf's will be shown in Documents Tab.

4. On some users,Wifi doesn't seem to connect. It's not maybe Sense fault. Theoretically it may be the JC2 base ('cause people reported wifi problems with JC2), though we must be sure first.

Optimizing Sense 2.5 Performance

There are several ways to optimize Sense 2.5 performance. These are recommended:

1. Disabling Weather Animations

2. Set Performance to Normal or High.

3. Set X-Close Button to terminate apps when X is tap

ROM HOW-TO'S

1. How to change LockScreen background?

Open Samsung Photo Album, select picture, tap Menu, then Set As = Lock Screen

2. How to set location on Sense 2.5?

At Home Tab, tap Clock, then Add City. After setting you location, tap the indicating circle of your location.

3. The camera asks for a firmware update, How to do that?

disable sleep...

dial *#2470#

tap firmware update

enter password 1234 then ok

then wait for at least 10 Minutes, then soft reset...

6.5...It works faster in 6.5, and memory management is better

DASKALOS B7610 SENSE 2.5 ROM

About the ROM:

- Now you will have 4 Today Screens available to choose from: Sense 2.5, CHome, Samsung Today and Widgets Plus

- It's a semi-full ROM; Samsung Apps (from Giorgio Armani B7620) still intact, removed some WM OEM apps, removed some tones and picture files

- This ROM has NO WM 6.5 SLIDE LOCK, replaced it with the non-memory hogging, multifunctional B7620 Lock (like that of 6.1)

- Replaced Samsung Menu with the Faster Samsung Menu from T*Omnia

Glad to hear the mainmenu and lock has been replaced with better ones!

if only it had the close button and start at the bottom. why dont u try this in 6.5.3/5 and see how it goes? :D

Many thanks Daskalos. Rom and Ram are quite little but faster, it is ok. I think you should remove SS Widgets and even SS Today, these are so hard, but not good when using.

I think so try installing that comm manager

and this ROM was based on JC2, which some reported have wifi issues...
