I've not had this problem before. It has only happened this evening. I have totally no service. Not a single bar. But intermittently, I will have full bar for a few seconds, and no service for most of the time. Really weird. Is t-mobile trying to update the pulse or something? I'm still on the original t-mobile roms but rooted.

Guest h3dshot Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 mine does this regardless of being on 3g or 2g, i used to be on 2g all the time and signal used to be slightly better than that of 3g but then i realised 3g was alot faster at loading web pages etc so ive been living on 3g since then.
Guest Azurren Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 You can't compare 3g reception to 2g reception  Chances are your pulse is on 3g and when you put the sim in your old phone it gets 2g You can choose between 3 settings. Only use 2g (best signal, saves battery and slow internet) or prefer 3g (fast internet, more battery and generally lower signal) or leave both options off and it will connect to 3g when possible otherwise it will use 2g.. Hope this helps :D
Guest andy-andy Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 thanks all. I wasn't refering to 3G or 2G data service. I wasn't even getting network reception at home for calls. But for some reason, it started working again this morning.... I've had the pulse since december last year, and the second one since march, and never had this problem before. It is really bizarre since nobody else was experiencing this problem, my 2 pulses must have both had a fault at the same time, and also started to work again at the same time too!!?

Maybe the problem was with T-Mobile and with the phone.
Guest alpha232 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I kinda confirmed the 2g/3g thing last night. I was at a friends house and had practically 0 signal on 3g, switched to use 2g networks and got 5 bars.
