Well this is looking encouraging... Is this the update file for a non-rooted ERE27 ROM and can it be applied to a rooted ERE27 ROM?

From Paul on Twitter. . .

"Correction - FRF50 update zip (froyo) for patched recovery with no prerequisite (pre rooted) online shortly..."

I just used Paul's ROM to update my rooted N1 and the official update in here to update my parents' stock locked N1's. All went just fine. I just copied the official update to the SD card and named it "update.zip", rebooted into recovery, held power and hit volume up, and chose "Apply sd:update.zip" or whatever. Took a couple minutes for each device and now they're running FroYo.
