Guest nick.price Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Hello! How long will it take HTC to get a froyo-ed version of the HTC Desire firmware out? Anyone care to comment? Can anyone offer a comment based on how long it has taken other other developers? Is it really handset/manufacturer dependent? Does it require google to release the core code? android newbie writes in... cheers! nick
Guest CardinS2u Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 my guess is 1-2 months down the road. they'll have to update their Sense UI and make sure it works fawless.....gonn abe awhiel buddy
Guest antihero_ Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I hope someone ports it without badword Sense. I like sense, but have replaced most of it's functionality with various other apps, so would really prefer just AOSP on the Desire and faster.
Guest NexusOneMatt Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 The only thing I miss about the Sense UI is that weather/clock widget as the interface with the alarm, world clock, timer, stop watch all in one like that... was just PERFECTION! Anyone know if that is available for download just by itself or is the only way to have that to have the Sense UI???
