Vanilla android?

have I missed something somewhere or is there no way to get vanilla android (2.1 or maybe 2.2) for the desire, I think the CM rom kitchen here does it but isn't stable yet

is there anything else?

There isn't a 2.2 Desire ROM yet.

By the end of today i think we will have froyo in some form;)

We already had 2.2 running on Desire yesterday, it's just not very functionnal as there is no service / display bugs

cheers for the replies fellas, I kinda fudged the wording of that question... i know there is no 2.2 for the desire yet, I was asking if the 2.2 port would likely be vanilla froyo when it is done and have since answered my question. It will be vanilla froyo! (sorry, it seems as usual only I knew what I meant lol)

anyhow I am giving up on flashing until either a 100% stable froyo port is released to tempt me enough or the usb bricking issue is resolved.

Just wanna quickily say to the bricked usb guys, I feel your pain and hope there is a resolution soon
