Guest fbsqual Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 HI everyone, I got it from XDA unfortunately, I failed. On device it shown 'Error while analysing package' and by using adb install it shown 'failture[older SDK]'. I think its impossible to install it Android 2.1 or lower system.
Guest simoneser Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Someone on XDA has made it compatible with 2.1, but the browser doesn't see it... But it may work with Desire\Legend because it replaces Flash Lite :D
Guest uapo7 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) If its now 2.1 compatible, maybe someone can port 2.2 browser to 2.1? If we get 2.2 browser, i think then it maybe works. Edited May 23, 2010 by uapo7
Guest simoneser Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I told it to the developer, and the answer is: "I'm working on it" And he has got a Liquid!
Guest Auxx Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 The guy behind is me, lol (: Porting 2.2 browser without sources (Google did not yet release Android 2.2 sources) will be painful and not very smart - sources will come up faster then I could decompile, fix and compile back everything. So our best bet is that someone with Flash Lite enabled browser will share it with us. I will go through 2.1 browser source code and try to find useful info.
Guest simoneser Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Didn't know you were registered  You're doing a great work, keep up!
Guest Auxx Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I think I found a solution for 2.1 browser, but it only maybe. OS compilation is very slow inside emulator with Linux. Yep, I'm a Windows guy (:
Guest bais Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Looks like you were right. On XDA an eris 2.1 owner says it works for him! That means it works for sense devices, but i hope there will be a way to make it work on Liquid. EDIT: But what if it works on HTC sense devices? Porting Sense stuff is even harder than porting the whole 2.2 browser to 2.1 I think... Edited May 23, 2010 by bais
Guest Auxx Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 I've managed to fix PluginManager from Android framework.jar and make it run on a device, but browser still does not load Flash properly. I'm investigating WebKit sources...

Guest Auxx Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 I'm sorry for lack of updates, but I had tons of work lately and we had saturday as a working day at my job, so I'm very tired. I will continue my journey today. Flash WILL BE on 2.1 no matter how much it will cost!
Guest Andy__P Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks so much we're waiting patiently :(
Guest Riekr Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 new dolphin browser hd supports flash on froyo, does it support eclair+xda-flash too?
Guest gengaro86 Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Don't think so, Flash is not installable on Eclair due to older SDK (we're using revision 7 while Flash needs revision 8). Since it isn't even opensource we would never have Flash on Eclair..
Guest dr3amz Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 that video is just PH's froyo right... which yes, does run 10.1 but it's pretty choppy on live streams and lacks wifi etc etc etc etc etc ;)
