Guest rj7855 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I'm trying to get Hulu working in Froyo + Flash Done: - Install Froyo - Install Flash Beta - Setting VPN connection to US (Hulu is not streaming if it detects an IP from Europe) - Setting User Agent String of Android browser to desktop ( about:debug , settings -> uaString -> desktop) Result: Video starts to play but I seem to have a connection problem on the first ad, causing vpn tunnel to die

I'm sure someone will find a way around this, but in the meantime, they say no way, Jose.
Guest AdolfoG Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) I was able to use Skyfire with Hulu on the Desktop setting. It seemed choppy and the voice was a little off sync, but it worked... at least until the first commercial break. Then I had to start it all over again. Edited May 24, 2010 by AdolfoG

Yeah, I've since learned that you can go to your phone's native browser and type in about:debug. Then go to the browser's settings, scroll all the way down and touch UAString. Select Desktop. (also, you may need to do this every time you open the browser to hulu; at least the about:debug portion) This allows Hulu to work, albiet super choppy for most videos. I'm not sure if it's an issue on Hulu's end or our phone, but hope that it is fixed in the near future.
Guest izmar Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Dolphin Browser HD -- Set user to desktop, and hulu works. But like others are saying its choppy, and hardly controllable.
Guest bedwa Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 I've found 2 things to help with non-optimized for mobile flash sites. One is that you MUST put it on the lowest bandwidth possible to get any decent quality/streaming without lag, and Two is when your video and voice get out of sync, pause it and zoom in and back out to refresh the player and when you unpause it will be resynched. Annoying, yes, but effective none the less. I've been enjoying watching crunchyroll vids and animeultima vids on my phone....
