Guest Jagdish Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Could someone actually verify if this mod infact boosts the max volume?
Guest atconc Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Could someone actually verify if this mod infact boosts the max volume? I haven't done a scientific test but it seems significantly louder for me.
Guest Need_A_Username Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Wow you guys must have some seriously messed up ears, or messed up earphones  (no offence intended xD) The max volume just kills my ears :D Edited May 26, 2010 by Need_A_Username

I've had a look at that link and I just don't understand any of it. I think I'll just leave it and make do  ED

Guest craigcrawford1988 Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Increasing the phone's max volume is just asking for trouble.
Guest JCLB Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 In Europe max volume is very limited, I listen to FLAC music and I can't even hear some tracks with my AKG earbuds owing to this shitty limit, is there another way than kernel change ? With rooting of course.
Guest sruon Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 yeah I can't listen to music either, I tried the kernel change, didn't do much (if anything)
Guest afiorillo Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Results from years of searching and hundreds of Euros wasted: switch to a $45 Sony Ericsson MW-600 Bluetooth A2DP headset and to a $30 Philips in-ear headphones (SHS-8000 for black or SHE-8001 for white): you'll throw that surely overpriced crapbuds out the window and no esotheric volume patch will be needed. I use that everyday while riding my Burgman enjoying symphonic or heavy metal music almost if I was at home. Guest rsox87 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) I've noticed that the maximum volume when playing music from the Desire is pretty pants. Is there any way to increase the volume at all? ED ED I'm guessing you're on T-Mobile UK? I had this problem, and saw plenty of other similar complaints on other forums. As far as we could work out, its a T-Mobile specific volume limit that they put in their ROM, the bunch of killjoys. Just flash the stock HTC ROM to your phone (no need to root, you will need to make a goldcard though) and the volume will go back to roughly iphone level. I reckon my iphone 3G was still a bit louder but never mind. Edited May 27, 2010 by rsox87
